Businesses raise cash for Santa’s grotto

-

Businesses located on the Evegate Business Park and craft centre in Station Road have raised £470 to help finance the fundraising Santa’s grotto set up there each Christmas.

Paula Cameron, owner of Ibbidi Bobbidi Boo, a shop in Evegate organised an auction in Evegate Park Barn on Friday, October 24 with fellow business owners at the centre donating gifts and vouchers and taking part in the auction.

The money raised by the auction will help to fund presents for children who visit the Evegate Santa’s Grotto, which has been organised for the last four years by Pete Starbrook and Sam Daniels, who both have shops there.

The money raised by the grotto, which opens on Friday, December 5, is donated to Demelza House.

Paula said: “Thank you to everyone at Evegate who donated and came to the auction, helping to raise money for Demelza.”

Evegate holds its Christmas fair fun day on Saturday December, 13.
