Work al­most com­plete on nine-storey block of homes

Buy­ers will be able to move into the de­layed Panorama build­ing in Ash­ford from next month, ac­cord­ing to the site’s bosses.

Work to fin­ish the apart­ments is nearly com­plete, and gas, elec­tric­ity and wa­ter have all now been con­nected in the Park Street de­vel­op­ment.

It is un­der­stood sur­vey­ors have also vis­ited the site to un­der­take val­u­a­tions for buy­ers’ mort­gages.

A spokesman for the nine-storey build­ing said: “We are pleased to re­port that apart­ments at The Panorama are now com­plete.

“Statu­tory ser­vices are now con­nected and pur­chasers’ sur­vey­ors have been at­tend­ing to un­der­take val­u­a­tions for mort­gages.

“Fi­nal com­ple­tion of the residential de­vel­op­ment is sched­uled for Oc­to­ber, with no­tices to com­plete likely to be served mid-Oc­to­ber and com­ple­tion and han­dover by the end of Oc­to­ber when res­i­dents will be able to move in.”

Work on the for­mer of­fice block be­gan in May 2013 by devel­oper Duke­lease Prop­er­ties.

Ear­lier com­ple­tion sched­ules in­cluded July and Au­gust 2014, and then Jan­uary and April 2015.

The spokesman said there was “ex­cit­ing news to re­port over the ground floor” in the com­ing weeks.

Work on The Panorama is due to end next month
