Work almost complete on nine-storey block of homes

-

Buyers will be able to move into the delayed Panorama building in Ashford from next month, according to the site’s bosses.

Work to finish the apartments is nearly complete, and gas, electricity and water have all now been connected in the Park Street development.

It is understood surveyors have also visited the site to undertake valuations for buyers’ mortgages.

A spokesman for the nine-storey building said: “We are pleased to report that apartments at The Panorama are now complete.

“Statutory services are now connected and purchasers’ surveyors have been attending to undertake valuations for mortgages.

“Final completion of the residential development is scheduled for October, with notices to complete likely to be served mid-October and completion and handover by the end of October when residents will be able to move in.”

Work on the former office block began in May 2013 by developer Dukelease Properties.

Earlier completion schedules included July and August 2014, and then January and April 2015.

The spokesman said there was “exciting news to report over the ground floor” in the coming weeks.
