Community fund for local groups
A water company is offering good causes the chance to apply for cash awards.
South East Water’s Community Chest has £30,000 to share between worthy groups. It is open to community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations in Kent to apply for donations of anything from a few pounds up to £2,500.
Now in its fourth year, the fund has already awarded £90,000 to good causes in the water company’s supply area for a range of projects including purchasing water bottles for primary school pupils and helping grow local community allotments.
Jo Osborn, head of communications at South East Water, said: “We are committed to supporting our neighbourhoods, and our Community Chest fund will again help good causes needing a financial boost to develop projects that can make a difference.”
All requests for funding need to be submitted by midnight on October 31.
