Fundraisers form group
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is creating an Ashford fundraising group.
Supporters in the town have already raised thousands of pounds for BHF but are now joining forces to form a regular group to support the charity.
They have previously raised money t o f und l i f esaving research to fight back against heart disease and have worked with police in the county to provide lifesaving defibrillators along the M20 corridor and helped companies improve the health of their workforce with BHF ‘ Health at Work’ packs.
The new group’s official launch meeting will be at Dobbies Garden Centre on the Eureka Leisure Park, Ashford, over a cream tea today (Thursday) from 2.30pm.
Kim Brophy, BHF community fundraising manager, said: “The launch of a new group is always exciting and vital to the BHF to raise awareness of our work.
“The group have already organised several successful events. I very much look forward to helping the group get off the ground.”
Anyone who would like to be involved or is able to offer some time or perhaps are able to donate a prize towards future events is asked to contact Kim Brophy at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07860 954235.
