Fundrais­ers form group

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Animals Rescued -

The Bri­tish Heart Foun­da­tion (BHF) is cre­at­ing an Ash­ford fundrais­ing group.

Sup­port­ers in the town have al­ready raised thou­sands of pounds for BHF but are now join­ing forces to form a reg­u­lar group to sup­port the char­ity.

They have pre­vi­ously raised money t o f und l i f esav­ing re­search to fight back against heart dis­ease and have worked with po­lice in the county to pro­vide life­sav­ing de­fib­ril­la­tors along the M20 cor­ri­dor and helped com­pa­nies im­prove the health of their work­force with BHF ‘ Health at Work’ packs.

The new group’s of­fi­cial launch meet­ing will be at Dob­bies Gar­den Cen­tre on the Eureka Leisure Park, Ash­ford, over a cream tea to­day (Thurs­day) from 2.30pm.

Kim Bro­phy, BHF com­mu­nity fundrais­ing man­ager, said: “The launch of a new group is al­ways ex­cit­ing and vi­tal to the BHF to raise aware­ness of our work.

“The group have al­ready or­gan­ised sev­eral suc­cess­ful events. I very much look for­ward to help­ing the group get off the ground.”
