Pedestrian is killed on M20
Witnesses are being sought after a man was killed on the M20 in Ashford.
Police were called to the coastbound carriageway of the motorway, close to junction 10, on Saturday at 12.30am following reports a pedestrian had been hit by a lorry.
Paramedics attended but 49-year-old Carl John Williams, from Dover, was declared dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
It is not known why the man was on the motorway, but it understood he walked down the slip road at junction 10 onto the main carriageway.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
They are keen to speak to anyone who saw either the man or the lorry prior to the collision.
The man was wearing blue denim jeans and a blue jacket.
The lorry was a white Mercedes Actros.
