Banking on help for homeless
Staff at TSB in Ashford and Canterbury have announced their support for homeless charity Catching Lives.
Teams from both branches agreed to support the charity as part of the bank’s Partners Across Britain scheme, and will be raising money throughout 2015.
Sarah Chesterton, Donna Baldwin and Kathy Brittle presented the first cheque for £200 last week, and are now gearing up for more events this year.
Branch manager Donna Baldwin said: “Catching Lives do some amazing work in the area and it was really important to us to pick a Charity Partner that gives so much back to the community.
“We can’t wait to get our fundraising off the ground and work together to make a real impact locally.”
The scheme will also see staff from the branches spending a day working with Catching Lives volunteers out in the community.
Catching Lives general manager Terry Gore said: “I’m really excited to see this local partnership get off the ground. I’m sure that TSB can help us to make a real difference to our local community.”
