Countryside walk in aid of good causes
Ramblers are getting ready for this Sunday’s Ashford Rotary Club walk through the countryside around Wye.
Participants set off from Wye Village Hall, Bridge Street, for either a five or 10-mile ramble between 8am and 11am. Walkers must be back at the hall by 3pm – and more than 300 are expected to take part.
The route, which is mostly off road, will be well signposted and the fundraising walk costs £10 per person to enter; £15 for a family of one or two adults plus children, or £25 for a team of any size.
Water, juice and biscuits will be provided en route and there is a checkpoint close to the Honest Miller pub in Brook.
Walkers are invited to collect sponsorship for their own favourite charitable causes, or can just choose to take part.
