Coun­try­side walk in aid of good causes

Ram­blers are get­ting ready for this Sun­day’s Ash­ford Ro­tary Club walk through the coun­try­side around Wye.

Par­tic­i­pants set off from Wye Vil­lage Hall, Bridge Street, for ei­ther a five or 10-mile ram­ble be­tween 8am and 11am. Walk­ers must be back at the hall by 3pm – and more than 300 are ex­pected to take part.

The route, which is mostly off road, will be well sign­posted and the fundrais­ing walk costs £10 per per­son to en­ter; £15 for a fam­ily of one or two adults plus chil­dren, or £25 for a team of any size.

Wa­ter, juice and bis­cuits will be pro­vided en route and there is a check­point close to the Hon­est Miller pub in Brook.

Walk­ers are in­vited to col­lect spon­sor­ship for their own favourite char­i­ta­ble causes, or can just choose to take part.
