Man de­nies stab­bing pen­sioner

A 23-year-old man has de­nied stab­bing a pen­sioner at her home in Wye.

Leoni­dis Mouza­ki­tis, from Folke­stone, ap­peared at Can­ter­bury Crown Court on Mon­day ac­cused of ag­gra­vated bur­glary, steal­ing car keys, theft of a BMW and griev­ous bod­ily harm (GBH).

He de­nied all charges and will go on trial early next year.

Mouza­ki­tis is ac­cused of stab­bing Wendy Webster, who is in her 70s, at a house in Lit­tle Olantigh Road, near Amage Road, on Sun­day, Au­gust 23.

Emer­gency crews rushed to the house at the junc­tion of Cold­har­bour Lane and Ms Webster was flown to a Lon­don hospi­tal with se­ri­ous in­juries.

She is re­port­edly mak­ing steady progress and her in­juries are not thought to be lifethreat­en­ing.

Mouza­ki­tis is due at Can­ter­bury Crown Court for his trial in Fe­bru­ary next year.
