Man killed in M20 accident is named
The man who died after being hit by a lorry on the M20 has been named as Carl John Williams, who lived in Dover.
Police were called to the coastbound carriageway at junction 10 near Ashford just after 12.30am on September 5. Paramedics also attended but Mr Williams, 49, of Rokesley Road, was declared dead at the scene.
His body was identified by his stepfather.
A post-mortem was carried out, which showed he had died of multiple injuries.
An inquest into his death was opened on Wednesday of last week at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court by assistant coroner for Central and South East Kent Christine Freedman.
Police are still appealing for witnesses and want to speak to anyone who saw either Mr Williams or the lorry, a white Mercedes Actros, prior to the collision.
