Trio win prizes at an ex­hi­bi­tion

Three chil­dren were the lucky win­ners of a com­pe­ti­tion or­gan­ised by Ash­ford’s Com­mu­nity Safety Part­ner­ship.

Me­gan Rigby, Jiana Wil­son, and Owen Hatch col­lected their prizes for tak­ing part in the quizzes and colour­ing com­pe­ti­tions or­gan­ised by the part­ner­ship in County Square in Au­gust.

Me­gan and Jiana were given vouch­ers for Toy­mas­ter and The En­ter­tainer, while Owen won vouch­ers for Deben­hams.

More than 1,000 peo­ple vis­ited the ex­hi­bi­tion be­tween Au­gust 13 and 15, with the coun­cil, po­lice, fire ser­vice and other or­gan­i­sa­tions on hand to of­fer com­mu­nity safety ad­vice.

The coun­cil’s com­mu­nity safety ser­vice or­gan­iser Ali­son Tickle said: “We were de­lighted with the num­ber of peo­ple who took such an ac­tive in­ter­est in the work of the agen­cies in­volved dur­ing the week in Au­gust. It is im­por­tant that peo­ple are aware of the wide range of sup- port avail­able to peo­ple hav­ing to deal with is­sues and prob­lems that af­fect their qual­ity of life.”
