‘failed to consult’
A critical report on Kent County Council’s streetlight switch-off published in May said the county council failed to consult properly and kept councillors in the dark about the costs.
It concluded the process was tarnished, had the feel of a “tick-box” exercise and lacked transparency.
People can take part in the consultation by visiting www.kent.gov.uk/streetlights and completing the online consultation questionnaire.
The consultation document and questionnaire are also available in Easy Read and Word formats on the website or on request by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. uk, or phone 03000 421553 Text Relay: 18001 03000 421553
