Excited about tandem skydive
An Ashford woman will be throwing herself out of an aeroplane this weekend to raise money for Pilgrims Hospice.
Emma Joyce, 21, from Repton Park, said she was excited about her firstever skydive at Headcorn aerodrome.
The council worker will be taking part in the tandem jump this Saturday, falling a cool 12,000 feet.
She said: “Nothing excites me more than doing something I have always wanted to do whilst raising money for such a brilliant charity. I have family and friends whose loved ones have been at the hospice in their final days and I have heard nothing but praise for the support they have provided.
“So when the opportunity came about and I heard it was in aid of Pilgrims Hospice I just had to do it.
“I’m more excited than nervous as I have always wanted to take part in a skydive.”
