Com­edy evening should be a laugh

There should be plenty of laugh­ter when three co­me­di­ans per­form at the Ash­ford In­ter­na­tional Ho­tel to­mor­row (Fri­day) evening.

Set to head­line the night is Danny “Slim” Gray, who has the abil­ity to cap­ture dif­fer­ent as­pects of ev­ery­day life and twist it into his own brand of com­edy.

Slim first per­formed in 1993 at the Hack­ney Em­pire in front of an au­di­ence of 1,500 peo­ple.

Since then he has ap­peared in ev­ery ma­jor city in Eng­land and Wales rang­ing from Manch­ester, Birm­ing­ham, Bristol, Not­ting­ham, Liver­pool and Cardiff. Chan­nel 4’s com­edy show Balls of Steel pre­sen­ter Mark Dolan will host the evening.

As well as Balls of Steel, Mark is known for Chan­nel 4’s Mad Bad Ad Show and doc­u­men­tary se­ries, The World’s … and Me.

Also set to per­form is Rho­dri Rhys, a for­mer char­tered surveyor, who moved into com­edy full time in 2011.

The three men will per­form at Ash­ford’s Com­edy Club in the Si­mone Weil Av­enue ho­tel from 9pm.
