Enjoy a brew at fire station
Wye firefighters are inviting local residents to join them for The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.
Wye watch manager James Ingleton said: “Many of the crew’s families or friends have been directly touched by cancer, so the work of the charity is close to their hearts.”
Crews will be serving up coffee, tea and cakes at the fire station from 11am onwards on Sunday in return for donations.
A selection of cakes are being donated by local business PickleLilly Cupcakes, and some of the fire crew are also going to be bringing along some baking of their own to help raise money for the charity.
South Ashford Football Club is holding a fundraising coffee morning for Macmillan tomorrow (Friday) at Kingsnorth Pavilion, Church Hill, Kingsnorth from 10am to noon. All parents, family and friends are invited to drop in for a cuppa to raise cash for the cancer charity.
