En­joy a brew at fire sta­tion

Wye fire­fight­ers are invit­ing lo­cal res­i­dents to join them for The World’s Big­gest Cof­fee Morn­ing in aid of MacMil­lan Can­cer Sup­port.

Wye watch man­ager James In­gle­ton said: “Many of the crew’s fam­i­lies or friends have been di­rectly touched by can­cer, so the work of the char­ity is close to their hearts.”

Crews will be serv­ing up cof­fee, tea and cakes at the fire sta­tion from 11am on­wards on Sun­day in re­turn for do­na­tions.

A se­lec­tion of cakes are be­ing do­nated by lo­cal busi­ness Pick­leLilly Cup­cakes, and some of the fire crew are also go­ing to be bring­ing along some bak­ing of their own to help raise money for the char­ity.

South Ash­ford Football Club is hold­ing a fundrais­ing cof­fee morn­ing for Macmil­lan to­mor­row (Fri­day) at Kingsnorth Pav­il­ion, Church Hill, Kingsnorth from 10am to noon. All par­ents, fam­ily and friends are in­vited to drop in for a cuppa to raise cash for the can­cer char­ity.
