Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Wi Celebrates Centenary -

Oh, yes they did.

Cinderella’s ugly sisters turned up to join a WI’s centenary celebration.

Kennington WI members Lesley Sanders and Shealagh Jackson got into costume for the party on Sunday.

The pair had been the characters in the group’s pantomime in January and February 2014.

They ended up playing table tennis with visiting Ashford Deputy Mayor George Koowaree and Deputy Mayoress Gloria Champion.

The characters were also joined by Marian Warner who was the pantomime’s Fairy Godmother.

More than 100 people attended the event at Kennington WI Hall in Faversham Road.
