Vote for your favourite Kentish food
Produced in Kent’s Taste of Kent Awards 2016 are now in full swing, with the public voting officially opening last week.
The awards, now in their 12th year, showcase the county’s finest food and drink products and provide residents with a unique opportunity to have their say and vote for their favourite producers, retailers, restaurants, dining pubs and farmers’ markets.
This year it is expected more than 16,000 votes will be cast, as the awards have grown year on year in popularity and support. The awards to be voted for by the public are the best butcher’s shop, beer, wine, cider, juice producer, local food retailer, fishmonger, food producer.
Other awards, not open for public voting, are for best food product, a countryside award for farmers, cherry and soft fruit and top fruit.
The awards presentation dinner will take place in March 2016 at the Kent Event Centre, Detling.
