Roger Dal­trey, a model rail­way en­thu­si­ast, be­came co-pa­tron of AIMREC last year.

He had vis­ited Ash­ford to dis­cuss the mu­seum plans with coun­cil of­fi­cials in sum­mer 2014.

The Who have had to can­cel a to­tal 28 Amer­i­can and Cana­dian dates, sched­uled from this month un­til De­cem­ber.

This was the Amer­i­can leg of The Who Hits 50 Tour, the con­tin­u­ing cel­e­bra­tions of the band’s 50th an­niver­sary.

Menin­gi­tis is the in­flam­ma­tion of the mem­branes that sur­round and pro­tect the brain and spinal cord and can be caused by bac­te­ria and viruses. Symp­toms in­clude fever, vom­it­ing, mus­cle pain and skin spots or rash.

Vi­ral menin­gi­tis is a more com­mon strain and the char­ity Menin­gi­tis Now says that while many peo­ple make a good re­cov­ery, it can leave oth­ers with de­bil­i­tat­ing af­ter-ef­fects that can last weeks, months and some­times years.
