Ten­ter­den Cricket Club cel­e­brated their pro­mo­tion to the Shep­herd Neame Kent League, Premier Di­vi­sion for the first time with a din­ner at Lon­don Beach Ho­tel on Satur­day, Skip­per Te­vis Knight won the bat­ting award with 547 runs, wick­et­keeper Ben Price – the top League stumper with 33 dis­missals – took the field­ing prize and Tom Richards claimed the bowl­ing award af­ter top­ping the Di­vi­sion 1 stand­ings with 39 wick­ets. South African Leus Du Plooy was top scorer with 775 runs av­er­ag­ing 80 but over­seas play­ers are not el­i­gi­ble for the award. Du Plooy was un­ble to be there but pre-recorded a mes­sage to his team-mates via Skype. Knight said: “We must thank ev­ery­one at Lon­don beach for host­ing the evening. Mean­while Ten­ter­den are al­ready plan­ning ahead, af­ter go­ing up as run­ners-up, fol­low­ing a last-day win at Whit­stable ear­lier this month. Knight said: “A few plans are al­ready in progress and we are look­ing to re­cruit.
