The studio is in Bank Street behind Lloyd’s Bank and is called Inking Out Loud.

She said: “I’ve worked in the industry for 10 years and worked at my father’s shop in Maidstone and Folkestone.

“There are five of us here and we’re all very excited to get this place open. We had to get planning permission to change its use from an office into a studio, so it has taken us six months.

“I’m hoping that I have a lot of clientele who will be following me over to this new studio, and I’m eager to get working. I don’t think we will struggle here in Ashford.”

The new business will be offering laser treatment with technicians for tattoo removal and treatment for skin problems, a piercing salon and an open tattoo parlour at the back of the property.
