Microchip saves the day
Ashford Borough Council and Victoria have both said Dolce’s return is an example of why dogs should be microchipped.
An ABC spokesman added: “Dolce the bull terrier was collected by our dog warden on Friday, January 8 after she was reported straying around the Shadoxhurst area.
“The dog’s microchip was coded with the owner’s details, allowing the council to get in touch and take the dog home.
“This story highlights the importance of microchipping your pet.
“From April 6, 2016 the government will be introducing compulsory microchipping for dogs to help tackle the rise of strays roaming the streets.”
