This year hun­dreds of events will take place across the UK to cel­e­brate the Queen’s 90th birth­day.

From street par­ties to ma­jor events in Lon­don, thou­sands will mark Queen El­iz­a­beth’s land­mark birth­day in style.

Her ac­tual birth­day is on Thurs­day, April 21.

A pageant cel­e­brat­ing her life will take place at Home Park in Wind­sor Cas­tle from Thurs­day to Sun­day, May 12 to 15.

Then on Fri­day, June 10, the Queen and Duke of Ed­in­burgh will at­tend a Na­tional Ser­vice of Thanks­giv­ing at St Paul’s Cathe­dral, fol­lowed the next day by a birth­day pa­rade on Horse Guards Pa­rade. On Sun­day, June 12 a Pa­tron’s Lunch will cel­e­brate her pa­tron­age of more than 600 or­gan­i­sa­tions in the UK and around the Com­mon­wealth since 1952.
