Legal eagles give backing to big trek
Legal professionals are switching paper trails for scenic treks as they showcase support for a charity walk.
Gullands solicitors are encouraging residents across the district to take part in the KM Charity Walk, which celebrates its 21st birthday this year.
Marianne Webb, of Gullands, said: “We have a long tradition of supporting local charities, and being involved in this milestone anniversary of the walk is greatly satisfying.”
Booking is now open for the Specsavers- supported walk which takes place on Sunday, June 26.
Walkers can choose a 10-mile or a five-mile trek which both start at the Grade II listed mansion Mote House, Maidstone, and goes through to Leeds Castle.
All entrants will receive a limited edition medal for their achievements, as well as a goody bag and a barbecue upon return.
Sophie Wallace, events manager at the KM Charity Team which organises the event, said: “In 2015, 400 walkers took part and raised a staggering £20,000 for good causes. We aim to build on this success and look forward to seeing plenty of new faces as well as returning ones.”
Booking is charged at £11.50 per adult and children under 16 go free. Walkers are encouraged to gain sponsorship for their ramble.
