An inexperienced Ashford 2nds XV produced a sprited second-half fightback in the 22-13 Shepherd Neame Premier 2 East defeat at Aylesford Bulls. Fielding a side including many under-18s, they trailed 22-3 at one stage, before tries by Ollie Gray and Jack Burdon reduced the deficit. Ashford failed to add to their tally but can take a lot of heart from their performance against opposition containing several 1st XV players. Ashford conceded two early tries, both resulting from drives off line-outs. They gradually settled into the game, camping in home territory for much of the first half, their only reward being a Gray penalty, leaving them 10-3 down at the break. Max Jordan scored a hattrick of tries as Ashford 3rds beat Snowdown 2nds 43-7 in Dragon Fire 4 East at Kinneys Field.
