Matt Forster’s third goal in two games and a Harry Stow ef­fort made it back-to-back Premier Divi­sion vic­to­ries for Ken­ning­ton, who won 2-0 against Fleet­down United at Dart­ford on Satur­day. Ken­ning­ton Re­serves will con­tinue play­ing in the com­pe­ti­tion af­ter two long-serv­ing club mem­bers stepped in to pre­vent the team fold­ing. Keith Rice and Brad Rus­sell have en­sured the team will be able to ful­fil their fix­tures, be­gin­ning with Satur­day’s Les Leckie Cup se­cond round home tie against Shep­pey United Re­serves. Club chair­man Gra­ham Ox­ley said last week the club had been given no­tice to with­draw but that has now be re­scinded by the league. Jack Oven­den and Beckim Ah­metaj net­ted as Divi­sion 3 East lead­ers Willes­bor­ough drew 2-2 against the Univer­sity of Kent. Mean­while, first-team man­ager Lee James has taken over as club chair­man, part of a new-look com­mit­tee, fol­low­ing Craig King’s de­ci­sion to step down.
