En­try num­bers for the Ash­ford & District 10k are ris­ing by the day ahead of Sun­day’s race. Around 500 had al­ready signed up for the 27th stag­ing of the event ear­lier this week with on-the-day en­tries set to boost the to­tal even fur­ther to­wards the 1,200 limit. A Nice Work spokesman said: “We have re­ceived be­tween 75 and 90 a week for the last fort­night and reg­is­tra­tion takes place from 8.30am on race day.” Ton­bridge AC run­ner Daniel Bradley won last year’s race, with Lon­doner Amy For­shaw, the ladies’ win­ner. Bradley will not be de­fend­ing his ti­tle on Sun­day. The race be­gins at 11am, start­ing and fin­ish­ing at Sandy­acres Sports Club in Sandy­hurst Lane. No park­ing is avail­able there and com­peti­tors are ad­vised to park at Brake Bros of­fices in Eureka Park.
