Entry numbers for the Ashford & District 10k are rising by the day ahead of Sunday’s race. Around 500 had already signed up for the 27th staging of the event earlier this week with on-the-day entries set to boost the total even further towards the 1,200 limit. A Nice Work spokesman said: “We have received between 75 and 90 a week for the last fortnight and registration takes place from 8.30am on race day.” Tonbridge AC runner Daniel Bradley won last year’s race, with Londoner Amy Forshaw, the ladies’ winner. Bradley will not be defending his title on Sunday. The race begins at 11am, starting and finishing at Sandyacres Sports Club in Sandyhurst Lane. No parking is available there and competitors are advised to park at Brake Bros offices in Eureka Park.
