Tributes to the Bard

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - What’s On -

Events are being staged across the county to mark the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death.

Perhaps England’s bestknown playwright, the Bard died on April 23, 1616, in Stratford-upon-Avon, which was also his birthplace.

Shakespeare produced most of his known work between 1589 and 1613, and his plays have been translated into every language.

We would like to hear from anyone who is organising an event to commemorate Shakespeare 400th anniversary event. Write to Kentish Express, 34-36 North Street, Ashford TN24 8JR or email kentishexpress@thekmgroup. co.uk
