Re­sults from early ex­ams are best ever

An Ash­ford sec­ondary school is cel­e­brat­ing achiev­ing its bestever English re­sults af­ter pupils took the ex­ams early.

An i mpres­sive 82% of Year 11 pupils at Tow­ers School achieved an A* to C in GCSE English Lan­guage.

Richard Billings, school prin­ci­pal, said the group sat the early ex­ams in a bid to spread the load of ex­ams.

He said: “With a huge team ef­fort, ev­ery­one pulled to­gether to give the stu­dents the best pos­si­ble chance.

“It just shows how far the school has come.

“I am amaz­ingly proud of staff and stu­dents and truly ap­pre­ci­ate the sup­port par­ents are giv­ing to this and all of our year groups.

“With the count­down to the sum­mer exam sea­son well un­der way, the stu­dents are now fo­cused on pre­par­ing with the same pre­ci­sion for their other en­tries.

“We look for­ward to find­ing out the re­sults.”
