Schools combine for dance extravaganza
More than 250 talented young dancers took to the stage at the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone.
Last Wednesday evening’s Breaking Waves dance show featured 12 schools and dance companies, with proceeds going to Age UK Folkestone and the Shepway Volunteer Centre.
Performances from jazz, ballet and contemporary genres came from five Shepway schools, who were also joined by pupils from other schools across the area, including the Towers School in Ashford.
Event organiser Patricia Cullen, head of dance at Folkestone Academy, said: “Breaking Waves 2016 was such a successful evening, I am so proud of all of the schools involved.
“The students had the opportunity to showcase their talents and be inspired by other groups.”
