Fab four’s Albert Hall lunchtime gig
Talented musicians f r om Ashford will entertain guests at the Royal Albert Hall tomorrow (Friday).
The Verano Guitar Quartet will perform in the London venue’s Verdi restaurant as part of the Free Friday Lunchtime Concerts series, organised by Music for Youth, as part of the hall’s commitment to supporting the next generation of musicians.
The group is made up of Ben Uden, Adam Young, Richard Williams and Philip Scott-Moore, who met when they were all students at Norton Knatchbull School, off Hythe Road.
Over the last four years they have played countless concerts, charity gigs and school events and previously performed at the same venue as part of a concert with the National Youth Choirs.
They will be joined for the concert by violinist Emmanuel Webb, also a Knatchbull student.
Eryn Grady, the school’s director of music, said: “I am so very proud to be associated with these students.
“It is an hour’s lunchtime concert and a great honour for this group.”
