A 35-year-old man has been charged over a crash allegedly caused by a driver travelling the wrong way on the M20.
Krzysztof Stopko, of Ascension Close in Hampshire, was charged on Tuesday with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
A woman was taken to hospital with severe injuries after the smash between Junctions 11 and 10 on April 7.
Three ambulances were sent to the scene, as well as the air ambulance, police and the fire service and the motorway was closed in both directions.
Officers were called to reports of a car travelling the wrong way on the London-bound carriageway. It collided with another car, causing serious injuries to a passenger who had to be cut free.
