In an urban setting, gulls are vermin

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - Points Of View -

Whilst it is regrettable that herring gulls have lost much of their coastal nesting habitat, in an urban setting they are vermin being hyper-aggressive in pursuit of food, damaging to property with their waste and are even noisier than the M20 most days from dawn until dusk (‘Birds settle in for long-term stay at town centre car park’, May 26). Everything possible must be done to stop gulls nesting in the town centre. Jonathan Dance, Northbrooke, Ashford
