Cel­e­brat­ing the Queen’s 90th birth­day

Three events are be­ing held in Wood­church on Satur­day, June 11 to cel­e­brate the Queen’s 90th birth­day.

A tea party for chil­dren up to the age of 11 will be held be­tween 3pm and 5pm on Wood­church vil­lage green.

To se­cure a place at the tea ta­ble a do­na­tion of £1 is re­quested.

All chil­dren at­tend­ing Wood­church CEP School will be sent an in­vi­ta­tion.

Par­ents of chil­dren who do not at­tend the school but would like to at­tend the tea party should call Ann Ti­plady on 01233 861363 or Joyce Nash on 01233 860297 or Ju­lian West on 07887 748962.

A tea party for adults will be held from 3pm to 5pm at Wood­church Me­mo­rial Hall. Due to num­bers be­ing limited to 100, early book­ing is es­sen­tial. En­trance is by ticket only. The day of royal cel­e­bra­tions will round off with a Come Danc­ing event from 7.30pm to 11.45pm in the Me­mo­rial Hall. Tick­ets are £10 each, in­clud­ing nib­bles. Mu­sic will be pro­vided by The Rock­et­men. Food will be on sale and a li­censed bar will op­er­ate. All monies raised will go to­wards the cost of the two af­ter­noon par­ties.

Tick­ets for the adult tea party and dance can be ob­tained from May at Wood­church Post Of­fice or the Wood­church Information Cen­tre.
