Game tribute to col­league

Rail en­gi­neers will com­pete in a char­ity foot­ball game in mem­ory of a much-loved col­league who died from a heart con­di­tion. Kevin Her­ron, right, worked for South­east­ern as an en­gi­neer for 11 years be­fore he trag­i­cally died in March this year. The 47-year-old worked at Rams­gate but lived in Ash­ford, so col­leagues from South­east­ern will be play­ing a game in his hon­our at the Home­lands Sta­dium in Kingsnorth on Satur­day. En­gi­neer­ing ap­pren­tice and or­gan­iser Jonathan Moore said: “This is a fan­tas­tic way to re­mem­ber our dear col­league and friend and raise money for good causes that Kevin was pas­sion­ate about.” they will play for the Kevin Her­ron Me­mo­rial Tro­phy and the game is open to the pub­lic, with do­na­tions on the gate to go to­wards the British Heart Foun­da­tion and for Help for He­roes. Kick off will be at 2pm at the ground on Satur­day, June 4.
