Ken­ning­ton Ju­niors around £4,500 for char­ity Blood­wise Satur­day.

The day was the part of the club’s week­end tour­na­ment with more than 45 teams from across the county in­volved at Ash­ford Hockey Club’s Ball Lane ground.

Or­gan­iser Tim Mar­shall said: “We have two cases of leukaemia within the club, so it is close to our heart and the raised cancer on com­mit­tee de­cided to ex­tend things to an ex­tra day, help­ing us raise money for such a wor­thy cause, with San­tander Bank also help­ing us.”

He added; “Sun­day was our usual club day, with over 80 teams from un­der-7s to un­der­12s tak­ing part.

“The weather was ex­cel­lent and it was one of the best ever days at the club.”
