Council’s latest housing plans revealed
This huge complex of 660 new homes in the centre of Ashford is set to be given the green light next week.
Councillors are likely to approve the development, a mix of flats and houses built on empty land off Victoria Road, on the former Powergen site.
It comes as Ashford council revealed its development strat- egy up to 2030, which has identified a further 5,035 new homes across the borough.
These include the 700-home ‘Large Burton’ development at Kennington, and a proposed new estate at Court Lodge Farm to the south of the town, where 950 homes could be built alongside shops and a primary school.
