Man in court over death of 51-year-old
A 38-year-old man accused of murdering Lee Walden, whose body was discovered in a block of flats in Kennington, has appeared at Maidstone Crown Court.
Darren McKay, of Beecholme Drive, was not asked to enter a plea during the brief hearing.
He is accused of killing Mr Walden, 51, between May 15 and 17, when his body was found in a ground floor flat in Cherry Tree House.
Police were called to the flats in Bybrook Road on May 17. Mr Walden was believed to have suffered head injuries.
McKay and a 32-year-old woman from Ashford were arrested later that day. The woman has been bailed until June 16.
McKay was remanded in custody and will return to court to enter a plea on June 17. A preliminary trial date was set for November 28.
