Gallery’s stunning group show a real treat for art lovers
A gallery in Ashford will be holding a private viewing of the work of four South East Open Studios (SEOS) artists.
On Friday, art lovers are invited to the Creative Collective gallery at Park Mall gallery from 6pm to 8pm, to view original artwork, enjoy drinks and nibbles or even purchase paintings.
Work will be on show by Eric Boadu, Maria Khatchatourian, Milan Limbu and Morag Newens.
Maria Khatchatourian’s posthumous exhibition will feature a range of middle eastern, art deco and watercolour paintings.
Eric Boadu will be displaying a range of jazzy paintings, Morag Newens will be showcasing beautiful watercolour work, and Milan Limbu will be exhibiting his modern architectural, abstract work.
The SEOS officially runs from June 3 to June 19, but the Creative Collective work will stay in the gallery until June 25 to give more people the opportunity to see it.
Betsy Aidinyantz, of the Creative Collective, has been elected SEOS chairman.
She said: “I’m kind of excited because we did not want SEOS to end. We are hoping to carry on and make it as successful every year and maybe more.
“It is a great honour and privilege to be serving the SEOS.”
