Mother’s thank you

Clare Saun­ders has thanked ev­ery­one in­volved in help­ing Ken­ning­ton Ju­niors raise around £4,500 for Blood­wise. The club ex­tended their an­nual tour­na­ment to two days, de­vot­ing the first day to help the United King­dom’s big­gest blood can­cer char­ity. She said: “My son Al­fie Blaney was di­ag­nosed with leukaemia aged one, so we de­cided to plan the event and the sup­port we re­ceived from family, friends and helpers was amaz­ing. “There are so many peo­ple to thank, es­pe­cially Tim and Kelly Mar­shall and ev­ery­one at Ken­ning­ton who made it pos­si­ble. “Al­fie is an amaz­ing boy who has been through so much.”
