Cyclists’ 500-mile challenge
Fragrance company workers cycled more than 500 miles from Switzerland to Spain to raise money for Pilgrims Hospices.
Eight staff from Givaudan, in Willesborough Road, Ashford, set off from Geneva to St Celoni in Barcelona, riding through the Alps and across the Pyrenees.
Zara Bushaway, Martin Blades, Andre Stiffell, Mike Cullen, Kevin Beardwell, Simon Jones, Tony Britton and Gary Nichol- son were the cyclists taking part.
They were supported by Roy Fulcher and Simon Clifton who carried gear in van following the team on their route. They set a target to raise £10,000 as part of a ride to link the company’s three sites in Paris, Geneva and Barcelona.
