Pupils, parents and staff at Pluckley Primary School celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday with a Commonwealth party last Friday.

The children sang and danced for the audience with performances representing Commonwealth countries such as Ghana, Australia, Cyprus and England.

The school’s older pupils even delivered an informative and entertaining performance about the Queen’s life and her family.

Sharon Loader, from the school office, said: “Families enjoyed a tea party in the sunshine, including dishes made by the children during the morning.

“It was a highly successful and enjoyable afternoon, where fun was had by all.”
