Kindness pays, says Yvonne
A Charing resident brought a heartwarming new touch to the village fete this year by launching a scheme encouraging random acts of kindness.
Yvonne Fernando, pictured, a l i f e coach from Charing, handed out Pay it Forward cards at the annual event on Saturday.
The card r eads: “You have received a pay it forward card. This means that someone has done something kind for you and they want nothing in return. All they ask is that you pass the card, along with a good deed, to someone else, anonymously. Continue the chain of kindness. Happiness is contagious.”
Yvonne, who runs Live Well Love Life at Charing Surgery, explained that there are health benefits associated with acts of kindness.
She said: “Most people experience an immediate feel-good factor when they do something nice for someone else.”
