Young mas­ter­minds are put to the test

Ham­street Pri­mary Acad­emy pupils sat in the fa­mous black chair to face quick­fire ques­tions on their times ta­bles in the school’s very own Mas­ter­mind chal­lenge.

On Mon­day, the whole school watched as 14 brave fi­nal­ists ap­peared on a gi­ant screen an­swer­ing maths ques­tions in just one minute.

Prizes were given to ev­ery­one who took part but there were three over­all cham­pi­ons.

Joshua Akinyosade, Year 2, took the gong with 20 points and no passes.

Sarah Guillen-Al­varez won the Years 3 and 4 round with 18 correct an­swers and Anna Tom­lin­son won the Years 5 and 6 cat­e­gory with an amaz­ing 26 correct an­swers.
