Last chance for KM walk
With just a few days to go until the KM Charity Walk, a leading high street retailer is calling for additional participants to get involved.
Celebrating its 21st year, the annual fundraiser staged by the KM Group’s charitable division provides the perfect day out for friends and families.
Matt Trusty, Kent regional chairman of Specsavers – a longserving support of the event, said: “With just one week to go until the KM Charity Walk, now is the time to secure your place.
“Over the past two decades, the event has raised nearly £1 million for vital good causes across the county, such as the lifesaving service provided by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.”
Booking remains open for the challenge event which takes place on Sunday, starting and finishing at Maidstone’s Mote House. Ramblers have the option of tackling five or 10-mile treks, and the walk concludes at a garden party with a barbecue and live music. All participants will be presented with a limited edition medal.
Last year’s event raised £20,000 for many charities, and organisers hope to beat that figure this year.
Entry is £11.50 per adults, free for children under 16. For information and booking, visit www. kmcharitywalk.co.uk
