Heart charity group launch
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is calling on Ashford residents to help accelerate the fight against heart disease by starting a new fundraising group in the town.
Around 13,460 people in Ashford are fighting a daily battle with heart and circulatory disease, and each year these conditions claim the lives of around 285 people in the area alone.
So now the BHF wants the community to take heart and join the fight against heart disease by starting up a new group and raise vital funds for heart research.
Kim Brophy, BHF fundraising manager for Kent, said: “Too many lives are lost in Ashford each year, and we’re determined to do everything we can to protect more families from this devastation. By starting up a fundraising group, you can help us fund the research that’s so desperately needed to bring us closer to beating heart disease.”
Anyone interested in setting up a new fundraising group is asked to contact Kim Brophy on 07860 954 235 or email brophyk@ bhf.org.uk
