Saddle up for bike challenge
Cyclists are to take on a 100-mile course around Ashford to raise money for charity.
The Great Kent Bike Ride sets off from North Park in Tannery Lane on Sunday, with all funds going to the East Kent Hospitals Charity.
For the less hardcore cyclists there is a choice of 35- and 60-mile routes through countryside and along the coast.
There will be live music at the finish line – again in North Park – with a beer tent and refreshments.
Start times for the 100-mile ride are between 7am and 8am, while the 35- and 60-mile routes start between 8am and 9am.
Refreshment stations will be placed along the route, with medics, mechanics and support vehicles on hand.
Last year more than 40,000 people took part in similar events across the country, with £1 million raised for charity.
