Teachers in the stocks

Kentish Express Ashford & District - - All The Fun Of The Fair -

Traditional entertainment drew the crowds for a school’s summer fair.

Attractions at Goat Lees Primary School’s fair included a coconut shy, bouncy castle, hook-a-duck and stocks, for which head teacher Teresa Adams bravely volunteered.

A raffle with top prizes including lunch at Eastwell Manor, plus a tombola added to the fun at the Kennington school on Saturday.

Nearly £1,500 was raised from fair and organiser Julia Cox, who chairs the Friends of Goat Lees, said: “There was a good turnout on the day of around 200 people and there was a great community spirit on the day.

“I would like to say a big thankyou to eveyone who has supported the school fete and to the Friends of Goat Lees for their hard work.”
