Skip­per Wil­liam Berry hit an un­beaten 84 and wick­et­keeper Ju­lian Bash­ford 50 not out as Smar­den eased to an eight-wicket win at Dym­church in Di­vi­sion 2. Jake Deem’s half-cen­tury and Lee Dick­son (42) top scored in the home side’s 169-9. Tom Richard­son’s 81 led Wood­church (143-4) to a six-wicket win at Wye, with Alex Cot­ter’s 62 the high­light of the home side’s in­nings of 139. Chal­lock suf­fered their first de­feat of the sea­son, as they slipped to 61 all-out in a low scor­ing con­test at home to Worth (85-9). Mer­sham-le-Hatch (126) went down by eight wick­ets at home to Sell­ing (130-2), who went top. Eger­ton’s strug­gles in Di­vi­sion 1 con­tin­ued. Dis­missed for 129, they lost by 71 runs at home to Wing­ham (200-9). Skip­per Ryan Knight top scored with 42 as Stone-in-Oxney (153) went down by 85 runs at Har­ble­down (238-3). Stone started badly slip­ping to 20-4 at one stage. Pat Wat­sham (27) and Gary Wool­lett (20) were their other main scor­ers The club have ar­ranged two 20-20 games against lo­cal ri­vals Wood­church to raise money for pres­i­dent Rob Wat­sham’s Help for Heroes char­ity ap­peal. They were due to host the first match last night (Wed­nes­day) with the re­turn ar­ranged for Fri­day, July 1. Ben Cook (4-26) and Dan Lett (3-14) bowled Di­vi­sion 4 lead­ers Char­ing to a fourth win in five games – a 61 run suc­cess at Wing­ham 2nds. The home side were dis­missed for 108, af­ter Dave Ri­ley (52) and Tom Lee (42) helped the Ash­ford vil­lagers to to­tal 169-6. Mer­sham Sports are third af­ter cap­tain Matthew Fagg hit an un­beaten 47 in their 199-8 to see them home by two wick­ets at home to Hor­ton Kirby. Jack Wilson claimed three wick­ets in the visi­tors’ 196-9. Kingsnorth (94) went down by seven wick­ets at Te­ston (97-3). Nick Gra­ham top scored with 42 as Stowt­ing (105-5) won by five wick­ets at Bredgar (101-8) in Di­vi­sion 5. Craig Tay­lor car­ried Lit­tle Chart (70-2) home to an eight-wicket win over St Ni­cholas & Sarre (69). Tay­lor took 3-14 and hit 34 not out. Rol­ven­den skip­per Steve Stick­els made 51 in his side’s 192 but his side lost by 15 runs at Linton Park (207-5). Great Chart (66 all out) lost by 160 runs at Lit­tle­bourne 2nds (226-6), while Andy Robin­son made 66 in Bils­ing­ton’s (149-9) seven-wicket home de­feat by Boughto­nun­der-Blean (150-3). James Isles (61) and David Finch (45 not out) took Ken­ning­ton to 219-7 as they won by 115 runs at Hythe Green (105-7) in Di­vi­sion 6.
