Summer camp helps ease stress

-

Young people are invited to take part in a summer camp that hopes to help them release stress, find focus and build their resilience.

Challock Health and Fitness is hosting a mindfulness summer programme, run by Su Ball, an accredited mindfulness teacher with 17 years’ experience as a child and family social worker.

Su said: “Summer holidays can be a stressful time for children as well as parents.

“Freedom from routines can also mean boredom, late nights and missed meals, along with family money worries and tension.

“Children can have stress from the last school year and worries about the next. We try hard but the long summer break is not always as idyllic as we remember it.”

The camp will run from Monday, August 1, until the end of August, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Sessions are from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm and participants are encouraged to attend three consecutive sessions.
