More support on offer in ‘cut it out’ campaign

-

With the quit-smoking campaign Stoptober starting next month, those who want to stop are being encouraged to sign up and prepare to stub out.

Backed by Kent County Council, a number of support services will be available, including clubs, oneto-one clinics and an app.

Statistics show if people give up the habit for 28 days they are five times more likely to quit for good.

Stoptober, launched in 2012, encourages smokers across England to make a quit attempt during the month of October.

Stoptober is responsible for almost 1 million quit attempts to date.
