Offices offer to strike-hit commuters

-

Regus, the office space provider, is offering businesses and commuters in Ashford free space on train strike days.

The company is offering the business lounge at its Ashford centre, in The Panorama, so stranded commuters can make use of the space, Wi-fi and complimentary refreshments.

Strikes by Southern rail workers include today (Thursday), with further stoppages planned November 3-5, November 22-23 and December 6-8.

Richard Morris, UK CEO at Regus said: “We simply want to provide a convenient solution for businesses amidst the disruption and to help professionals stay productive.

“For many commuters, working from home on these days is not a realistic proposition. Our workspaces enable people to arrive, plug-in and get working.

“Businesses may well find that letting their staff work from more convenient and flexible locations could lead them to reassess their attitude towards the fixed workplace.”

The Regus workspace is available on a first-come firstserved basis.
